Easter Bunnies
So, we dragged our sleepy and reluctant bodies out of bed at 4 am, to start our long trek up north for the excuse of a knees-up provided by Carl & Anna. Plenty of cars on the road, considering the unGodly hour we set off. The long trek was a first for me and my little Mazda - longest time spent behind the wheel without falling asleep! ;P
Ate some, got a (painful) foot massage, some catching up with the cousins, lots of photos taken, checked out MK's newly renovated spanking new home (complete with a 14" TV set in the large living space - the ONLY TV in the house). Even got a wash-and-blow for RM10! All in all, an event-filled Easter weekend for us.
Banquet time, Ipoh-style. In the manner of ancient assassin procedure to prove identity of kill, the roast suckling piglet's head was served up as evidence that it IS pork we're tucking into...
The pork rib noodle stall in Jin Jin Coffee Shop, Ipoh - previously much frequented by Grandpa and Grandma. We didn't try the noodles there, as we felt compelled to have the Ipoh Sar Hor Fun in the same coffeeshop, seeing as we're in the town of its creation.
