Coming Along

It's been a hectic year. Since we moved in three months ago, I've been neglecting the finishing touches on the apartment, too pre-occupied with work and other stuff going on. Now that the year is finally drawing to an end, and things are supposedly slowing down at work ("supposedly" being the operative word), I've tasked myself to complete the picture on the apartment before the year comes to a close.

First off, dental and medical check up appointments, and car service appointments have been made. Prices of bamboo chicks to be installed in the patio have been quoted, measured up, order placed, and deposit made.

And the paintings have finally been hung up.

This, the piece de resistance, sits proudly on the blank canvas of a wall right behind the sofa. Doesn't look so gigantic afterall. Man, this wall is huge! :) That was a good call, M, to keep the painting for the new home. It has garnered many compliments (more than the usual creeped-out response to my usual acquisitions!), and I STILL really like it!

There're still a few other things needed to complete the new home. Like bar stools for the kitchen island so that we can eat on it. And some bookshelves so I can have some books out and display items have a home to reside on.

And of course, there's the mammoth task of re-organizing everything, since we basically stuffed them willy-nilly into the cupboards just to get them out of the way when we first moved in...

Next up, celebratory plans for the holiday season! Time to scour cookbooks and order-in menus!
